10 years, where did that go?
This week we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of our move to our current location on Toorak Road.
When you reach a milestone it is a good opportunity to reflect back on what we have done and where we want to go. We have achieved a lot. When we moved to our current location from our old digs in Camberwell Road, we tripled our floor space overnight and doubled our staff. We had big plans on the services that we wanted to deliver, the standard we wanted to set, and how we wanted to be the leaders in healthcare in our community.
We could not have achieved what we have without the dedication of our team of practitioners and support staff. Our valuable suppliers and service providers. But most of all we couldn’t have achieved what we have without our patients.
We have treated over 20,000 people at our Toorak Road location. From little scrapes and sprains through to significant injury and impairment, we have aimed to give world leading healthcare to each individual.
We have helped people overcome surgery, literally helped people walk again. We have helped Olympians reach their goals, and we look forward to seeing more athletes we have helped do their thing in Tokyo next year. We have helped AFL footballers, tennis hall of famers, hockey stars individuals from every sport you can imagine. However what gives us the most satisfaction is helping the everyday person do their thing. Overcome their injuries to get back to work, be a better mother or father, to achieve their goals.
Whilst we are proud of what we do, we are also proud of how we do it. We are especially proud of programs such as our #teamCSSM program which help everyday athletes reach their potential, our support of community groups such as Emmaus St Leos Old Boys, Camberwell Sharks and other local clubs. Our support of the primary charity the Indigenous Marathon Project and other community programs such as Shoes for Planet Earth to whom we have donated thousands of shoes on behalf of our patients.
As we continue to grow, what makes us most proud is the level of service and care that we continue to bring to our patients. It is a constant source of amusement to me when other clinics promote what they do as “extended care” or a new way of thinking. For them it is an effort, for us it is what we do everyday, as normal course, without fanfare. It is the CSSM way.
As we move into out next decade we look forward to improving on what we do. Adding new services and programs, extending our team. We approach every day with the passion and enthusiasm that we did from day one. With the same attitude and the same aim.
The Best Expertise. A Plan to achieve. Whoever you are. Whatever the goal.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Here’s to another 10 years, bigger and better than the last!
Best Regards.
Travis Bateman. Practice Principal.
