Camberwell Sports & Spinal Medicine is a 7 day a week health care facility. Whilst each individual practitioners availability will vary, appointments are available between the following times:
Monday to Friday 7:30am till 8:00pmSaturday 8:00am till 4:00pmSunday 9:00am till 5:00pm
CSSM requires a minimum of 24 hours notice of an appointment cancellation or rescheduling in order for you to avoid a late cancellation fee of $65.00.
Looking for immediate care? Whilst individual practitioner availability does vary, in most instances we should be able to arrange an appointment with one of our practitioners for the same day, certainly within 24 hours. Payment is required at the time of the consultation. The clinic accepts cash, cheque, eftpos and credit card (excluding Diners)
Claim your Health Insurance rebate on the spot.
All clinic services are covered by Workcover. A Doctors referral is required.
Osteopathic, Physio and Podiatry services are covered by the TAC & Veteran Affairs. A doctors referral may be required.
Talk to your GP about a possible referral under the Enhanced Primary Care scheme, giving you 5 partially covered treatments for chronic conditions.
While GP’s and specialists seeking the best care for their patients often refer patients to CSSM, for private patients, a referral is not necessary.
For patients claiming their treatment through a third party provider (eg. Medicare, Workcover, TAC or Veteran’s Affairs) a doctor’s referral will be necessary however. Some sports insurers may also require a medical referral.
Importantly, private health insurers (e.g. Medibank, BUPA, NIB) do not require a medical referral.
If you have private health insurance please bring your member card. Further if you have any relevant test results such as x-rays or a letter from your Medical Practitioner bring these with you. For podiatry appointments please bring your sports shoes with you.
When attending your appointment, comfortable clothing is best. You may be required to remove items of clothing for our practitioners to examine and treat you. You will be supplied with a gown if required. If you have any concerns please talk to your practitioner.

CSSM has a strict cancellation policy, requiring a minimum of 12 hours notice of an appointment cancellation or rescheduling. Please remember to cancel your class within the appropriate time frame to avoid forfeiting your class credit.
